We contributed to the system design and prototyping of a CCTV subsystem to be used by Air Traffic Control staff at a UK national facility.

The specialised nature of the requirements meant that a complete off-the-shelf system was not available, and so a solution using high-resolution IP cameras, gigabit LAN and standard web-based technologies was developed. Safety assurance was a vital aspect of the project, leading to the use of proven COTS technologies as far as possible and minimising the amount of bespoke software components in order to satisfy the approval process.
